Following is a range of analysts, and end user, conjecture as to what would make the new iPhone the hero it needs to be to knock off Samsung.
It will be interesting to see how many of these ‘most requested’ features make it to the new Apple.
Style: Top of the wish list is that the new iPhone not be a simple refresh of the old one. It needs a new style, a new panache, and to be anything but another slab of black, alloy rimmed glass. A new radical design is unlikely. Roll out, flexible or transparent screens, bendable batteries and new materials like Kevlar and carbon fibre are not easy technologies to incorporate into a handset at this time.it is good for us we can do better .
Screen size: 4” is not enough – 5”,1080p is better. The width of the bezel – the screen’s surround – depends on the technology used. Like Samsung, Apple should use AMOLED (active-matrix organic light emitting diode) that allows for the thinnest bezel - e.g. a bigger screen in a smaller body. Retina is nice but is seen more as a marketing gimmick rather than a standard like 1080p.
