Apple Watch records heart rate every 10 minutes, but not when you are moving

The much-hyped Apple Watch came with a feature that reliably recorded a wearer’s heart rate every ten minutes, without fail. With the latest update to its software, users started complaining about discrepancy in its monitoring. However, the tech giant has assured that it is not a bug, but a deliberate software design.
Apple has clarified on its product page that while the Apple Watch attempts to measure your heart rate every ten minutes, it won’t record it when you are in motion or your arm is moving. The original 1.0 Watch OS did not base its reading on body movements.
