Mother denied 5 children’s custody
LAHORE - A mother burst into tears and fainted outside a courtroom as the Lahore High Court denied her custody of her five children in a habeas corpus petition on Friday.
Rizwana, a resident of Shahdara Town, had filed habeas corpus petition for the recovery of her children from the custody of her in-laws. She stated that he in-laws forced her to leave the house first and then came to her house took the children with them. The petitioner prayed the court to recover her children from the illegal custody of her in-laws.
On the order of the court, Sialkot (Sabz Peer area) police personnel produced the children and their grandfather Muhammad Saleem in the court on Friday.
The grandfather recorded his statement before the court and denied the allegations of the woman that she was forced to leave house. He said she willingly left the house along with children, he said. He further said that children also did not want to live with her.
